The National Bird Of England - The humble Robin
The robin and I, we have an understanding it seems with photography! Wherever I go in the countryside, my day is never complete and whole without being able to spot and grab a photo of this little plucky hunter.
Despite its cute looks, this little bird is a very territorial bird especially around the winter months and will actively attack, and even sit hidden in ambush before attacking, other birds that it sees as competition for its food, namely Blue/Great Tits, Dunnocks, other Robins and more!
This is in stark contrast to the fluffball most see in the garden, that will eat seed and grub from your hand and follow your fork and spade as you turn the garden beds over, snatching worms and other morsels before the soil has barely hit the surface!
With that being said… For some reason when I point my camera at this delightful little fluffball.. they will always provide me with a smile and a beautiful pose that I can take a photo of and save as a memory of a well spent day!
